The security industry caught it's breath recently when Intel announced it's intention to purchase McAfee - a meeting seen as so strange that PCWorld called it an "oil and water kind of purchase."
Or is it?
The synergies may not be obvious at first blush - but this acquisition has been made with some forethought. While it will lead to speculation, it is probably a watershed event that will be referred to in the future as the point where everything changed.
Although the team often visits McAfee, this was a significant enough event to warrant a discussion with Jayson 'O Reilly
