Wynand Pretorius was one of a group of South Africans that went to Haiti to assist after the February earthquake. He speaks to Nombulelo and Tony about the experience.

At 16h53 on the 12th February 2010, Haiti was struck by an earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale, followed over the next days by 52 aftershocks. 200 000 people died, 300 000 were injured, and 1 000 000 people have been left homeless in one of the poorest countries on earth.

Help flooded in from all over the world, including South Africa. Wynand Pretorius discusses what it was like to go to Haiti to assist, days after the initial disaster.
