Pubcast - Tweets Denied
Monday, 24 August 2009
The Pubcast chats to Dominic White about the recent Denial of Service (DoS) attack on Twitter, debating the motives for the attack, and whether this is the forerunner of more DoS activity.

On the 6th August Twitter was subject to a public and successful Denial of Service (DoS) attack. This is the most successful DoS to date, and for the first time the lay public became aware of this attack vector.
Although a very public organisation was attacked, the motives remained unclear; and there was some debate about a potential geopolitical motive regarding Russian activities in Georgia.
Graham and Tony went to Deloitte to discuss the attack with Dominic White, and debate whether this is a blip in the security landscape or a sign of things to come.
